Day: Saturday, April 18, 2026
Time: 6:30-8:30 PM
Cost: free
Location: Delirium Moon
Address: 34 S Monroe St, Monroe, MI 48161
Embrace Monroe is teaming up with Delirium Moon for their first ever gender affirming clothing swap on Saturday April 18th from 6:30-8:30 PM! The shop, located downtown at the corner of Monroe and Front Street, will be hosting the two-hour event. Area residents are encouraged to bring clothes they’d like to swap that evening. Bring something, take something and if you’ve got nothing to bring that’s okay too. You can still take part so come see if we’ve got something that fits your style. Anything donated, and not chosen, will go to local non-profits that work to cloth people. During the event, Delirium Moon will also be open and 10% of all sales will be donated to Embrace Monroe, the area’s non-profit LGBTQ+ affirming community. Plus if you’re a business that wants to support the LGBTQ+ community of Monroe, contact us about making a donation!

About Embrace Monroe

This 501(c)(3) was founding to foster greater awareness to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities in Monroe, MI and the surrounding areas.

Our four pillars to achieve this goal are social, support, events and visibility. This group wants more than just acceptance or tolerance. It wants to be embraced by the local community.
Embrace Donation Funds
Below you’ll find a number of funds that are used to do the things we do at Embrace Monroe. The reason for all of these funds is we want to build community here in Monroe so please consider donating to our General Fund or any of the causes below that might be near and dear to YOUR heart.
FYI: When donating it asks about tipping Givebutter, our donation software. We hope you’ll support them since they pass those savings to us by charging a lower rate. But giving isn’t mandatory. During the checkout, just click the down arrow and pick ‘other” . Type 0 (zero) as the amount and you’ll skip the Givebutter tip.
Four Main Focuses

Social
Getting Together
While spreading the word about a worthwhile cause is important, it’s also important to have fun too! You have the chance to get together with like-minded people with the same goals and enjoy yourself.

Support
Being There
Family is important — Not just the ones we’re born into but also the ones we make. Be a part of something that’s local and making a difference in our community for all our citizens.

Events
Enacting Change
Since 2020 Embrace has hosted Monroe’s Pride Event but that’s not all we do. There are lots of other fun activities we host. Plus, if you’re a business, we’re always seeking donations for our events throughout the year.

Visibility
Being Seen
While it is true that “We’re here; we’re queer, get used to it,” is true, it’s important to engage with the community at large to foster relationships and greater understanding.
