LGBTQ+ Events and Parties around Monroe and beyond
Our local 501(c)(3) LGBTQ group focuses on four key areas – social, support, events and visibility. This page is dedicated to the annual events we have each year.
Some events are for LGBTQ+ only like our monthly support group but most are also meant for allies too, like our Halloween 21+ Party. These fundraiser aren’t just for fun. They serve an important purpose to make our community stronger for everyone while also providing the funds we need to keep Embrace Monroe a place that people in the area can turn to for support.

Pride Art Fest!
LGBTQ+ and Allies come together for a good cause
Day: SUNDAY, June 7th, 2026
Time: 12-6 PM
Cost: free to attend

DRAG BINGO SPAGHETTI FUNDRAISER DINNER!
LGBTQ+ and Allies come together for a good cause
Day: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Time: 6-10 PM (doors open at 5:30 PM)
Cost: starts at $30 or two (2) tickets for $50
Age Limit: 18+ (I.D. Required for Entry)

Step into a world of spaghetti, sequins and support at Embrace Monroe’s LGBTQ and allies 18+ Drag Bingo Spaghetti Fundraiser Dinner! Play games (head or tails), buy raffle tickets (50/50 and ‘Decks of Cards’) and bid in our silent auctions. Plus if you’re a business that wants to support the LGBTQ+ community of Monroe, contact us about making a donation!

Embrace Monroe’s Drag Bingo is our biggest 18+ fundraiser of the year for the LBGTQ+ community and allies in Monroe County, MI featuring The Real Drag Queens of Bingo.
Halloween Party
Embrace Monroe’s Halloween Party is one of the biggest fundraiser of the year for the LBGTQ+ community and allies in Monroe County, MI.
Friendsgiving
There’s a family we’re born into and then there is ‘Chosen Family‘. It’s a great time to ‘break bread’ with loyal people in your circle. Blood makes you related; but love makes you family.
Pride Art Fest

Murder Mystery Dinner
Have a little food; do a little sleuthing. Murder Mystery dinner is a small scale get together for the winter months in Michigan when, let’s face it, it’s c-c-cold out there. Have fun at this indoor whodunit!
Queer Prom
Queer Prom was created for LGBTQ+ people who didn’t have the semi-formal prom experience they wished they could’ve had as a teen. It’s a springtime do-over that for some that’s long overdue.

We’re not all in the same boat, but we’re all in the same storm. Embrace Monroe is here to help you weather the storm and to keep you as safe as possible. At least that’s one of our goals.
Our other purpose is to create places and events around the area where you feel comfortable and joyful. We do this with our various events and meet-ups that we hold monthly or yearly.
While our end goal is to have a place to call our very own we’re happy that businesses and people around Monroe are opening their hearts and their doors so we have a place to gather.
